Lango Design Hotel & Spa is an adults-only boutique hotel at the beach of Lambi on Kos island. Spread over 6 acres of land, it offers 55 rooms and suites. Its architectural design is based on a pre-existing two-storey building with a basement. The skeleton of the old structure was incorporated into the development and addition of the new edifice. For this reason, the old warehouses were opened and the entire plot was dug, in order to reveal the basement and add another floor, where the suites with private pools were built. The hotel consists of two buildings, between which the central swimming pool of 300 m2 in L figure interferes. With two jacuzzis on each side, the pool ends in a pool bar. Large daybeds, gazebos with curtains and textiles everywhere, emphasize the visitors' relaxation. The white colour makes its presence felt and is combined with a lining of stone from Kalymnos island, dry stone, glass and bronze elements, antique marble and black energy-shaded frames on all exterior surfaces.
All rooms follow a minimalistic aesthetic, dominated by white shades and natural materials. Large mat tiles, black details and dark shaded aged oak wood exude a simple but sophisticated luxury. The feeling of tranquility is enriched by bronze details, linen fabrics, 50-inch TVs and designer light fixtures. The open plan bathrooms, separated from the room with elegant wooden partitions, are characterized by large showers, a separate room for the toilet and different in design and texture tiles for each room type.
The minimalist logic follows the whole hotel's style. Wooden herringbone flooring in the lobby, stone and limestone, darkwood wall coverings, bronze lights, linen fabrics and indoor plants everywhere, offer peace and relaxation. All indoor public spaces follow an open plan layout. The large glass cellar dominates in the centre, serving as a divider between the lobby and the open restaurant. The open kitchen, from where the customer can watch all the food preparation, is the restaurant's highlight, as well as the verandas overlooking the pool or the Aegean Sea. The spa of 300 m2 brings an air of Morocco into the atmosphere. An indoor pool lined with Moroccan tiles and white aged herringbone, white-washed spaces with blue-purple details and patterned wallpaper exudes a mood of wellness. It includes three massage rooms, a sauna, a Turkish bath, manicure-pedicure rooms, dressing rooms and a gym.
