One of the peculiarities of Kivotos Santorini compared to the other five-star hotels in Santorini, is that the hotel's interior and exterior colour is not white but a unique dark gray to black. This colour was chosen, so that Kivotos would be linked to the history of the Santorini volcano. Santorini island as we know it today, was created by the eruption of the volcano thousands of years ago. So, Kivotos was supposed to connect with this story. This is the reason why some special curves have been created in the vaulted ceilings and walls of the Suites of the hotel, through which RGBW lighting comes out and which can also be changed according to the preferences of each guest, through his tablet or mobile. Another very important advantage of Kivotos Santorini is its location, as it is situated at the highest point of the caldera, in the heart of Imerovigli, offering immediate access to the guest from the point of leaving his car, without having to descend the countless steps to arrive in his room like in most hotels in Santorini.
