The proposal concerns the completion of an unfinished shell set within an olive grove, where the site itself determines every design decision. It offers an alternative living experience in direct dialogue with the Cretan land and the abundant Mediterranean light, fully embracing the principles of environmental design. At the core of the composition lies the kitchen island, inspired by the traditional Cretan parastia—the place of gathering, fire, and everyday life. Natural materials such as marble, handmade brick, reeds, and wood define the character of the space, while light permeates the entire residence, unifying interior and exterior. The house functions as a refuge: an authentic living experience, minimal yet meaningful, deeply connected to place and the senses.
