MITSIS GRAND HOTEL, RHODES
Rhodes is preparing to welcome one of the most ambitious hotel projects of the last decade. The legendary Grand Hotel of the Mitsis Group is undergoing a radical transformation and will reopen its gates in 2026, marking a new era for luxury tourism on the island. With an investment of 80 million euros and the seal of the world-renowned architectural firms WATG and ROAM Interior Design, the project aspires to become a reference point in the Mediterranean, the company points out.
The new Grand Hotel, the company says, will combine timeless elegance with modern luxury, drawing inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of Rhodes. As WATG’s Nick Carrier, who undertook the transformation of the Grand Hotel, revealed in an interview, the goal is to create a space that will highlight the Aegean and offer guests a superior hospitality experience.
With 327 rooms and suites, the hotel will feature top-notch amenities, such as marble bathrooms with materials from historic Greek quarries, luxurious furnishings, personalized mini bars and balconies overlooking the sea, gardens or Rhodes Town.
It will include 148 rooms with Aegean Sea views, 134 with pool and garden views, 28 with city views, 12 private residences, 11 pool cabanas and facilities specially designed for guests with mobility needs.
