The project concerns the redesign and extension of an existing restaurant. The design approach explores a contemporary interpretation of Italian elegance, combining clean lines and materials with references to the Italian architectural tradition. The design aims to integrate harmoniously with the existing building envelope, making it an integral element of the overall composition of the building.
The open-plan space is articulated into distinct spatial zones, organized around clear circulation axes and visual axes. The relationship between interior and exterior is central to the design. Folding glazed doors allow for the complete integration of the two zones, while the continuity of materials reinforces their connection. In the outdoor area, a new retractable canopy was added as part of the intervention, extending the functionality of the restaurant.
The materiality of the space is defined by a carefully selected palette, with travertine, Calacatta gold and wood as the dominant materials. The palette is punctuated by touches of green, introduced through the marble of the buffet counter and the wallpaper. The result is a contemporary space in which architecture frames the experience of hospitality.
